Cleaning Up After a Tree

In addition to two children, I also have to clean up after a tree. I have a sycamore tree on the parkway in front of my house. It's like someone's idea of a bad joke: it sheds its bark (just like in the photo). So after I sort out the artwork, sweep the kitchen floor, put in some laundry, put away some laundry, and get all of the detritus out of the living room, I get to go outside and rake and sweep up after the tree. I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, but I think it's a plot to prove to me that I will never get ahead in the land of house and yardkeeping. But at least the tree is pretty to look at. So the truth is, I actually like the tree, it's very cool, just a lot of work. Sounds like some pipsqueaks I know of. Funny isn't it?
