The last thing I'd ever thought I'd wear is sparkly shortie shorts. And yet, I did. In Madison I bought a pair of Derby Skinz: little hot pants made by this really nice lady (Auntie Pantie) whose daughter is a rollergirl. I giggled when B said I should buy a pair. Then I did. I figured for $15 they would provide sparkle in my closet and that they would never see the light of day. How could I with my less than perfect bottom half wear sparkly shorts? Well, I just did it. I wore them with cotton leggings and had a fabulous night of skating. It was very fun to wear them. And maybe I looked ridiculous, but honestly, I really didn't care. I felt sparkly! All over! Like a glass of champagne held up to the light!
Where else can a respectable PTO volunteering, car pool driving mom wear sparkly shorts? Nowhere. That's what makes it fun.
Now back to real life.....but I know those shorts will come back out of the closet again someday soon.

I bought brown leggings at Target in the eventuality of pink derby skinz as part of our DL uniform....weeeeeeee!
