Life in the rolling lane has been slowing down. Well life hasn't slowed down, but it seems like this week has not been blog worthy. You see when I got home from being away, I came back to, well, normalcy.
What have I done? I skated on Tuesday (a great workout -- sore glutes, yeay!), and I found a new winter jacket (my old one is shiny from too many cleanings and really needed to go). Ran the usual errands, worked on Art Appreciation for the PTO committee I'm on. I have been helping G with her first book report of the year (yes, there will be a project every month, oy). Went from planning two workouts today to none (skating and a plyometric train the trainer were both cancelled), paid out-of- state NY income taxes (isn't that crazy?). I did get to see Poppy and B today! That was fun. That just about sums up my week.
This weekend will be just as "normal" -- the leaves have started to fall and need to be raked (two very large oaks, one medium maple, and a medium oak), soccer games, a birthday party (oops have to go buy a present), breakfast on Sunday with friends I don't get to see often enough, possibly an Old Crow Medicine Show concert on Saturday night at the Riviera (need a babysitter and a way to coordinate with G's soccer team party at the coach's house), Mr. Doll and I need to take a tour of the neighborhood to view driveway paver opitons, oh and meditation class to calm down at the end of the weekend.
I guess if I had exciting on top of normal, I'd explode, so I guess it's just as well. As my grandfather used to say to me "one day at a time, Sugar, one day at a time".
